• Ashleigh Hunter Avery

    Ashleigh Hunter Avery comes from a family of dance. She trained at Dance Theatre of Jacksonville from 1991-1999 under her mother, Desiree LeFebvre, and then with the Corpus Christi Ballet from 1999-2004. She returned to train and teach at DTOJ from 2004-2011. Ashleigh's versatility has enabled her career to include concert and commercial dance, both on stage and screen. Some of her credits include dancing with Carolyn Dorfman Dance in NYC, Good Morning America (LMFAO), The Late Show with David Letterman (Martha Wash/Paul Shaffer), Fuller House, and commercials for Spotify, VRBO, and Lexus. Ashleigh has had the privilege of working with and performing works by choreographers such as JoAnn Hunter, Otis Sallid, Peter Chu, Kyle Hanagami, Doug Elkins, and Carolyn Dorfman. Dancing professionally has given her the opportunity to not only perform in NYC and LA, but across the US and Europe. Most recently, she can be seen dancing in Carlos López Estrada’s (Blindspotting, Raya and The Last Dragon) newly released film, Summertime, with choreography by Andrew Winghart. In addition to performing, Ashleigh also teaches, choreographs, and adjudicates throughout the country. She currently resides in Los Angeles and is represented by Independent Artist Entertainment.

  • Jordyn Santiago

    Originally from North Carolina, Jordyn Santiago is a musician, dancer, teacher, and choreographer currently based out of Los Angeles, CA. Jordyn grew up training at The Dance Theatre of Jacksonville, under the direction of Debra Baile. She has traveled and trained across the United States as well as abroad in Israel and Europe. Jordyn has studied with artists such as Melissa Jackson, Jiri Pokorny, Tilman O’Donnell, Medhi Walerski, Adi Salant, Bryan Arias, Diana Matos, and Jermaine Spivey. Jordyn has toured as a backup dancer with Los Angeles-based band ‘Half Alive’ and has created new works with Bryan Arias, alongside of the Arias Company. Jordyn has worked on a multidisciplinary VR experience ‘Cosmos Within Us’ which was directed by Tupac Martir and produced by Satore Tech & Satore Studios. She had the opportunity of dancing with choreographers Dana Wilson, Ebony Williams, and Christopher Scott for the motion picture production of ‘In The Heights’ with Warner Brothers Entertainment. Jordyn has performed at the Lincoln Center in Washington D.C in an Opera titled ‘Prism’ under the direction of Beth Morrison Projects. She has taught at several well-regarded institutions and collectives, including Peridance Capezio Center, Broadway Dance Center, the BODYTRAFFIC summer intensive, and The University of the Arts. After residing and working in NYC for 10 years Jordyn has finally made the move to the other side of the country. Since making the move within the past year Jordyn has danced in music videos for both Griffin Matthews - “Witness Uganda” and Zolita - “I F***ing Love You”. Earlier this summer, Jordyn was featured and documented in Western Digital's creative campaign for "Anthem" highlighting various creatives across different industries and journeys. Jordyn was a guest artist premiering in ‘Joy’ at the Wallis Theater alongside of company Ate9 under the direction of Danielle Agami. Most recently, Jordyn has had the honor of joining LA-based repertory company BODYTRAFFIC. She is incredibly grateful to get to travel the world alongside such a dynamic group of artists.

  • Marleen Melendez

    Marleen Melendez started her dance training at the age of 11 at Dance Theatre of Jacksonville in NC. Growing up training in various styles from tap, jazz, contemporary, ballet and hip hop, she fell in love and knew that this was what she was born to do. Eager to start her career, Marleen graduated high school a year early and moved to New York City to complete the Professional Semester Program at Broadway Dance Center. Since graduating from the program in 2012, Marleen has had the pleasure of performing at Radio City with Lele Pons and Daddy Yankee for Google and Youtube’s week long industrial choreographed by Kyle Hanagami. She has also had the pleasure of working with various choreographers such as Candace Brown, Zach Lattimore, Nicco O’Connor, Jared Grimes, Jared Jenkins, Keenan Cooks, Neil Schwartz, Laura Edwards and more. She has performed in several of New York's most popular dance shows including Carnival, Sybarite, Run The Night and Rhapsody James' Sirens After Dark. In addition, she has performed in the Soul Train Music Awards flashmob choreographed by Frank Gatson, and a Billboard Event for Grammy nominated Colombian artist, Fonseca. Marleen has also had the honor of being nominated three years in a row for the Monsters Of Hip Hop show by Parris Goebel, Kevin Maher and Marty Kudelka. Marleen is currently part of MOTUS the company directed by Diana Matos. Marleen also teaches and choreographs at several studios across the US and continues to pursue her career goals in Los Angeles represented by BLOC LA.

  • Andrew Burleson

    Andrew Burleson, a North Carolina native, is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, with a BFA in dance with a concentration in choreography and a minor in Business Administration. He has been dancing since the age of 3 training in various forms including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, tap, modern and dance composition. Andrew has toured nationally with a dance convention, where he was given the opportunity to assist top choreographers from So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Best Dance Crew, Disney’s Shake It Up, Step Up 2 and Britney Spears. Andrew works as a guest teacher and choreographer for over twenty dance studios across the United States, and has worked for several dance competitions both as a judge and event director. He enjoys being able to empower the future generation of dancers, and has an innate ability of encouraging and bringing out the best in his students. In 2019, he began and is the Creative Director of Coalition Dance Project, LLC, a traveling teaching and choreographic company that focuses on providing a positive and empowering environment to teach and choreograph in. Andrew is continually encouraged by those he teaches when he sees their passion for dance.

  • Khorii Tinson

    Khorii Tinson (they/she) is a movement artist and choreographer currently out of Brooklyn, New York. Khorii received their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020. During her time at UT, Khorii worked with many artists including Charles O. Anderson, Gesel Mason, Courtney Mazeika, Jenn Freeman, and others. Khorii joined Gesel Mason Performance Projects in the Fall of 2021 and has been touring with the company in various cities across the US. On the side, Khorii does freelance projects and is continuing to craft her artistry through improvisation research.

  • Annabella Uricchio

    Annabella Uricchio began her dance training at Dance Theatre of Jacksonville. She danced with DTOJ for fifteen years and competed for eight of those years. Annabella just finished her first year at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia studying dance. At UArts, she studied various styles of dance and performed in a work choreographed by Katie Swords Thurman and Tommie-Waheed Evans. She was recently accepted into the CLI Conservatory and will be attending in the fall.

  • Annie Adams

    Annie Adams has been dancing and training since the age of 2 at Dance Theatre of Jacksonville. After graduating, she continued her training at the CLI Conservatory in Easthampton, Massachusetts under Teddy Forance. During that year she was able to work closely with choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Dana Wilson, Jillian Meyers, Lex Ishimoto, Liana Blackburn, Robert Green, Jay Mills, Noelle Marsh, Chris Scott, Al Blackstone, and Billy Griffin. Annie will be on tour full-time this season with Luminous as a member of their artist crew. Her plan is to move to Atlanta, where she will start pursuing her dance career and keep training. However, she has always had a love for choreography and hopes to continue down that path as well.

  • Arielle Israel

    Arielle Israel began her training at the Dance Theatre of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, North Carolina from 1995 to 2011. During her time at the Dance Theatre of Jacksonville she was a member of their competitive team and performed the role of the Snow Queen in their first annual production of The Nutcracker, in 2010. Upon graduation, Arielle furthered her training at Towson University, where she has been a member of the Towson University Dance Company, performing ballets such as Giselle, Paquita, and Don Quixote, as well as works by Runqiao Du, Linda Denise Fisher-Harrell, Vincent E. Thomas, Trent Williams, Stephanie Powell, and Alvin Ailey's Robert Battle. While attending Towson University, she is also performing with two professional companies in the Baltimore and DC area: VT Dance Company and Ballet ADI. Arielle had the pleasure to work with the Broadway legend, Hinton Battle, on the feature film BOLDEN! She has also received training at The Ailey School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet summer intensives. Arielle received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance at Towson University.

  • Jessica Israel

    Jessica Israel began her dance training at the Dance Theatre of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, North Carolina from 1995-2008. While studying in jazz, ballet, contemporary, and tap she also participated in various dance competitions such as "Jump" and "New York City Dance Alliance". Once she graduated from high school in 2008, she enrolled in the Ailey School's Certificate program, in New York City, where she studied Horton, Graham-based modern, ballet, jazz and tap. She has performed works by Darrell Moultrie, Francesca Harper, Ursula Payne and David Parker. Since graduating from The Ailey School in 2011 Jessica has been in various freelance projects. She has been featured on Good Morning America, in music videos by Hettie Barnhill, a Bollywood featured film "ABCD", and she was also a part of the Michael Anthony Collection fashion week "Castle on the White Hill" fashion show. Jessica lived in Eilat, Israel for 7 months performing in Tevet productions, "Wow Show". Jessica is currently teaching and continuing her work as a freelance artist in New York City. Her most recent projects include being a part the the 2014 NBA playoffs flashmob promo and she will be dancing in a show called The Victory Dance Project which has been featured on Answers4dancers.

  • Annalise Coleman

    Annalise Genee Coleman is from Jacksonville, North Carolina. She has been dancing since was three years old where she competitively danced for Dance Theatre of Jacksonville and Fox Troupe Dancers. Annalise graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2016 with a dual major in Public Health Education and Dance. At the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she was a member of the dance team and captain. She also studied under professors Duane Cyrus, Janet Lily and Lindsey Howie. Currently, Annalise Is a professional cheerleader with the Carolina Panthers and has performed at the SuperBowl and ProBowl. She is also a kindergarten-fourth grade dance teacher at KIPP Change Academy in Charlotte NC.

  • Angie

    Angie was a student at DTOJ from 1991-1996. She left home at age 14 to attend the Harid Conservatory with a full tuition scholarship. After completing her education at Harid, she spent two seasons with the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago where she appeared in Robert Altman’s 2003 film The Company. Following her stay with Joffrey, Ms. Sansone worked toward her B.S. in ballet at Indiana University before she joined Kansas City Ballet in 2005. In her two seasons with KCB, she has been featured in End of Time, Apollo The Concert, Great Galloping Gottschalk, Dark Elegies, Splendid Isolations III, Mozartiana, and as Dew Drop in The Nutcracker. She had the opportunity to perform Ben Stevenson’s End of Time at the International Dance Festival of Colombia. This is Ms. Sansone’s sixth season with Kansas City Ballet.

  • Mollie Sansone

    Mollie Sansone was a student at DTOJ from 1991-1996. She began her training in North Carolina with Melissa Hale-Coyle, Claudia Folts, Lisa Leone, and Rebecca and Daniel Wiley. She also studied at the Metropolitan Ballet Theater with Maniya Barredo, the Joffrey Midwest Workshop, the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, and the Atlanta Ballet. As a member of the Nashville Ballet 2 from 2004 to 2006, Mollie performed with the main company in Balanchine’s Square Dance, Sarah Slipper’s Postcards from the Boys, and Salvatore Aiello’s Rite of Spring. Some notable performances of hers since joining the main company are in Robert Philander-Valentine’s Sunday Sunday, in Balanchine’s Valse Fantaise, the Dew Drop Fairy in Paul Vasterling’s Nutcracker, the “Balloon Girl” in Salvatore Aiello’s Clowns, and the Blue Pas de Deux in James Canfield’s Jungle. Mollie also performs as guest artist with the Piedmont Dance Theater during the summers, where she has performed Balanchine’s Who Cares?, La Bayadere, and Thang Dao’s, Printemp Perdu.
